When you subscribe to the newsletter, submit the contact form, or purchase a product, we collect the information you provide directly, typically your name and email address, and for purchases, delivery and payment details processed by our payment provider.
How we use it
- To send the Life By Design newsletter to subscribers
- To respond to messages sent through the contact form
- To process and deliver product orders
- To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used, so it can be improved
Legal basis and consent
We process your personal information on the basis of your consent, given when you submit a form on this site, or because processing is necessary to fulfil a request you've made, such as an order or a message. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or contacting us directly.

As a data subject under POPIA, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or outdated information
- Request deletion of your information, subject to any legal retention requirements
- Object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa
Third parties
Newsletter subscriptions are processed and stored by Beehiiv, our email service provider. Product payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the service you signed up for, or as required by law, and delete it on request where we're not legally required to keep it.
Cookies
This site may use essential cookies required for the newsletter and contact forms to function. It does not currently use tracking or advertising cookies.
